As design/build consultant to Plimoth Plantation for over 10 years, we were delighted to be involved in a project which will become a notable part of the living exhibit. At the outset of our consultation, we prepared a 500-page analysis of all of the standing real estate at the Plantation, looking at a program for catching up with deferred maintenance.  The Architectural Program consisted of numerous stakeholders; Native Indians, historians, retail sales and various artisans.  This exciting project will enhance the visitor experience to allow exposure to 17th Century artisan trades techniques in a comfortable environment. New and upgraded toilet and refreshment facilities are provided to enhance the comfort of the museum experience.  The project included renovation of the 1900's Museum Exhibit Building, an addition for new gallery space, a new entrance portico, and a fully functional Le Panyol wood-fired oven with brick surround to bake 17th century breads.

“With brick walls, natural wood, exposed copper pipes and plentiful windows, the bakery is easily accessible, divided from the retail store just by a wooden railing. It has a hands-on area for children and panels explaining the history of baking” (Patriot Ledger, 9/22/14)
