If you think architects are expensive, consider the downside of not having one.  Building Codes have all been substantially changed and most everything is more complex and restrictive.  Planning a new building or expanding your existing facility is a complicated process just to reach the point of obtaining a building permit.  You can’t  legally apply for a permit to complete a minor renovation to an existing building with an enclosed envelope (to the ridge line) greater than 35,000 cubic feet without a Registered Design Professional (i.e. Architect or Registered Engineer). Calculate the geometry on your building and you will be surprised how small that is!

Following the permit, the more complex process of construction begins.  A ConServ registered architect will be involved in all aspects of construction from inception through completion, to ensure the structure is not only pleasing but safe and habitable.  Attempting to perform this feat with anything less than an Architect’s professional supervision can lead to a significant Code violation or potentially unreimbursed financial loss in the event of a catastrophe. Why take such a risk when the cost of Architectural supervision is modest in comparison to your total investment?!

Think about it……building location, foundation, structural elements, codes, standards, space planning, efficiency, ADA compliance, sprinklers, materials of construction, and let’s not forget cost!  A ConServ architect begins the process with a concept, and then with the input of our knowledgeable conceptual estimator, engineers and professional design/build tradesmen, the project design is completed to meet a budget target.  We have the team of experts on staff to design, engineer, manage and supervise the entire process to insure that the final product meets our client’s approval, and the requirements of all the regulatory agencies who are involved.
